Terms of Use
Last updated July 20, 2026.
Funeral Succession (funeralsuccession.com) is owned and operated by Funeral Decisions, Co. ("Funeral Decisions," "we," "us"). These terms govern your use of the site. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
What Funeral Succession is
Funeral Succession is an acquisition-intelligence and introduction platform for the death-care profession. We aggregate publicly available listing information, accept confidential seller submissions, and relay introductions between buyers and sellers or brokers.
We are not a licensed business broker, and we are not your advisor. We do not represent either side of a transaction, negotiate on anyone's behalf, or take commissions or success fees. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, financial, or valuation advice. Any transaction you pursue is between you, the other party, and your own advisors.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you represent that you're authorized to bind it to these terms.
Listing information
- Aggregated listings summarize information published elsewhere, with a link to the original source. We normalize figures in good faith — including with automated (AI-assisted) analysis — but do not guarantee accuracy or completeness. Verify every material fact independently before acting on it.
- Figures on seller-submitted listings are provided by the seller and reviewed for plausibility, not audited.
- Listings can go stale: inventory in this profession moves quietly, and a listed business may already be under contract or withdrawn.
Your account
- Provide accurate information, including your buyer qualification profile — it is how we vouch for you with sellers and brokers.
- Your account is personal; don't share credentials or let others use your membership.
- We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the platform or misrepresent themselves.
Confidentiality obligations
The platform's value rests on discretion, and membership carries obligations to preserve it:
- Member-gated information — financials, documents, and anything a seller shares with you through the platform — is for your own acquisition evaluation only. Don't redistribute it.
- Don't attempt to identify a shielded seller, contact one outside the platform's relay, or disclose that any identifiable business may be exploring a sale.
- These obligations survive the end of your membership. Breaching them is grounds for immediate account termination.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk export, or republication of site content.
- No use of the platform to harass, deceive, or spam other participants.
- No automated access except with our written permission.
Third-party sites and sources
Aggregated listings link to third-party brokers, marketplaces, and publications so you can verify a listing at its source. We don't control those sites, don't endorse them, and aren't responsible for their content or their own terms and privacy practices — review those directly.
Our content
The site's design, text, data compilations, and software belong to Funeral Decisions, Co. or its licensors. Membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the site — not a license to reproduce or exploit its content elsewhere.
Membership and billing
Buyer membership pricing and any trial terms are shown at signup. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access through the period you've paid for. During free beta periods, features may be available without charge and are subject to change. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided "as is" and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Funeral Decisions, Co. is not liable for losses arising from your use of the platform or from any transaction you pursue — including losses caused by inaccurate listing information, and including indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Funeral Decisions, Co. against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your listings or submissions, or any transaction you pursue with another participant.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally will be settled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, or — at either party's election — by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Talk to us first: most issues are resolved with an email.
Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves; material changes are announced to account holders by email. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
